William Alvin "B" Smith

Services for William Alvin "B" Smith were held on March 11, 1994, at First United Methodist Church with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. Ray Stokes and Dr. Brian Scarbrough officiated.
   Mr. Smith, age 78, of Quitman, passed away on March 9, 1994, at Loving Care Personal Care Home.
   Survivors include a daughter, Joann Smith, Jackson; one brother, A. W. Smith, Jr., Brookhaven; one sister, Marie Pedro, Sana Rosa, CA; and several nieces and nephews.


Annie L. Cranford

Services for Annie L. Cranford were held on March 10, 1994, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the East Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Rev. Leland Goodman and Rev. T. E. Williams officiated.
   Mrs. Cranford, age 81, of Rt. 3 Quitman, passed away on March 8, 1994, at Riley's Hospital.
   Survivors include two daughters, Darlene McCarra and Dale Smith; two brothers, Roy Long and Eddie Long; three sisters, Claudie Hayes, Edna Ford and Maxine Robinson, all of Quitman; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.


G. W. Stevens

Services for G. W. Stevens were held on March 14, 1994, at Rock Branch Baptist Church with burial at Rock Branch cemetery. Rev. Tom Fox and Rev. Warren Hedgepath officiated.
   Mr. Stevens, age 65, of Rt. 1 Little Rock, passed away on March 12, 1994, at his residence. He was a membr of the Little Rock Baptist Church and was self-employed.
   Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Stevens, Little Rock; two sons, C. W. "Butch" Stevens and Sammy F. Stevens, Union; three daughters, Patsy Chatham, Rose Hill; Nancy Miller, Quitman; Helen Harry, Livingston; two brothers, Thomas Charles Stevens, Union; and Frank Johnson, Madison; one sister, Lorena Ford, Monroe, LA; and eight grandchildren, Andy Taylor, Amos Taylor, Shane Smith, Angie Stevens, Michelle Miller, Kim Miller, Wesley Alan Stevens, and Tony Charles Stevens; four great-grandchildren: Tyler Patrick Stevens, Tiffany Taylor, Lori Nicole Smith, and Courtney Taylor.
   Pallbearers included David Reese, Wayne Ford, Bobby Stevens, Richard Johnson, Danny Earl Stevens, and Ruben Stevens. Honorary pallbearers include Andy Taylor, Amos Taylor, Shane Smith, Wesley Stevens, and Tony Stevens.
   Milling Funeral Home of Union was in charge of arrangements.
