Services for Jim Davis, Jr., were held August 20, 1994, at Stonewall United Methodist Church with burial in the Stonewall Cemetery. Rev. Buddy Braddock and Rev. Jay Rostochil officiated.
Mr. Davis, 61, of Stonewall, died August 18, 1994, at his residence.
Survivors include two sons, Dickey Redmond, Meridian; and Bobby Lang, Ocean Springs, MS; three daughters, Deloris Oglesby, Glenda Taylor and Susie Brashier, all of Stonewall; mother, Vivian Satcher, York, AL; two brothers, Nick Hedges, Brownwood, TX; and Tom Sykes, Seminary, MS; five sisters, Carolyn Ford, Lisman, AL; Willie Lee Rainer, Pennington, AL; Margaret Galloway, York, AL; Jennie Thomson, Arlington, TX; and Louise Horn, Brownwood, TX; sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Davis.
T. S. "Shackie" Evans, Sr.

Services for Mr. T. S. "Shackie" Evans, Sr., were held on August 23, 1994, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Levy United Methodist Church in Matherville.
His memories are remembered by his wife, Idell Evans, Matherville; and eleven children; Lillie Mock, Maywood, Ill.; Clara and Ruby Evans, Chicago, Ill.; T. S. Evans, Jr., East St. Louis, Ill.; Mary Jane Evans, Thomasville, GA; Nellie Raing, Quitman; Howard Evans, Hattiesburg; Odell and Maggie Evans and Bazie Peebles, Matherville; Juanita Powe, Silas, Ala.; and one sister, Nellie Home, Matherville.
Bessie A. Dabbs

Bessie A. Dabbs, 98, of Penscaola, died August 18, 1994, in a local nursing home following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Dabbs was a native of Quitman, but resided in Pensacola since 1937. She was a member of the East Hill Baptist Church and the Johnson Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Dabbs was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Dabbs and a son, James A. Dabbs.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Lucille and Matt Thompson of Fort Walton Beach and Adie Merchant Acosta of Pensacola; daughter-in-law, Katherine P. Dabbs of Pensacola; brother and sister-in-law, Glynn L. and Frances Arrington of Birmingham, Ala.; three grandchildren, Marilyn Merchant of Houston, Texas; Robert and Debbie Merchant of Jackson; and Kay D. and Dan Stone of Gulf Breeze; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral servies were held August 20, 1994, in Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Dr. Mel Deason officiating. Burial was in the Bayview Memorial Park.
Leona Morehead Riley

Servies for Leona Morehead Riley were held on August 18, 1994, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Terry Goodman and Rev. Jim Manning officiated.
Mrs. Riley, 84, of Shubuta, died August 16, 1994, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Davis Riley, Shubuta; three daughters, Betty Dickerson, Pamela Dickerson Puigh, both of Metarie, LA; and Joan McPhearson Doby, Shubuta; and several nieces and nephews.
