Sylvia Barry Lantrip

Sylvia Barry Lantrip, 50, of 702 75th Street, Tuscaloosa, Ala. died June 30, 1994 at her home.
   Funeral services were Saturday at 11:00 at First United Methodist Church in Tuscaloosa. Graveside service was Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Oddfellow Cemetery in Quitman, Miss. Rev. Bill Morgan and Rev. Duncan Hunter officiated with Hayes Chapel directing.
   Survivors include her husband, Robert M. Lantrip of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; her mother, Margarette B. Barry of Quitman, Miss.; a son, Chad B. Fleming of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a step-daughter, Julie Lantrip of Chadds Ford, Penn.; a step-son, Brian Lantrip of Chadds Ford, Penn.; three sisters, Rita Parker of Brandon, Miss, Lynn Terry of Grapevine, Texas, and Leigh Moore of Enterprise, Miss.
   She was the daughter of the late George G. Barry, a graduate of the Mississippi State College for Women (Now Mississippi University for Women), a long time accounting manager for G.M.A.C. in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tuscaloosa, Ala.


Hobert Evin Ford

Services for Hobert Evin Ford were held Friday, July 1, 1994 aat 10:00 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with buriel at Hopewell Cemetery. Rev. Doc Williamson and Rev. Richard Williams presided.
   Mr. Ford, age 70, of Enterpprise died Wednesday, June 29, 1994, at Riley's Hopsital, Meridian, Miss.
   Survivors include one son, Houston H. Ford of Enterprise; two daughters, Carol Adams of Gilbertown, Ala., and Linda J. Ford of Enterprise; two brothers, Jodie L. Ford of Fairfield, Calif., and James D. Ford of Quitman; two sisters, Mary E. Ray of Fresno, CA., and Birdie J. Davidson of Quitman; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and special nieces and nephews.


Mrs. Gertrude Harris

Services for Mrs. Gertrude Harris, Carmichael, MS, were held Monday, July 4, 1994, at 10 o'clock in Wright's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Billy Ray Blackwell and Rev. Jim Manning officiating. Burial was in Andrews Chapel Cemetery.
   Mrs. Harris, 92, died Saturday July 2, 1994, at Kemper County Nursing Home, DeKalb, MS.
   Survivors include one daughter, Helen Harris Lucas, Carmichael; son-in-law, Billy Lucas, Carmichael; daughter-in-law, Pat Harris, Inez, TX; one sister, Mrs. Vivian Boykin, DeSoto; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
   A member of Center Ridge Baptist Church, Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, J.R. (Dooley) Harris and three sons, Ralph Harris, Robert Harris and James A. Harris.
