James Franklin Denham

Services for James Franklin Denham were held June 17, 1995, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Elim Cemetery. Rev. Ed Holloman officiated.
   Mr. Denham, 57, of Enterprise, died June 14, 1995, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
   Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Watkins, Enterprise; Amy Milstead, Hercules, Ca; mother, Virgie Denham, Quitman; two brothers, Tommy Denham, Quitman; Aaron Denham, Linden, AL., a sister, Wilma Holloman, Quitman; and five grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Neel Denham and father, J. P. Denham.


Aubie Hamburg

Services for Aubie Hamburg were held June 19, 1995, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Cooper's Chapel Cemetery. Rev. James Curtis and Rev. Claiborne Dearman officiated.
   Mr. Hamburg, 81, died June 16, 1995, at H. C. Watkins Memorial Hspital.
   He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Clarke County for over 35 years.
   Survivors include his son, Virgil Hamburg, Quitman; four brothers, Curtis Lavon Reese, Christopher Marce Reese, both of Quitman; Roger Franklin Reese, Memphis, TN; and Cleo Hamburg, Clara; six sisters, Clara Elsie Simpson; Artie Mae Dearman, Flossie Jay Dearman and Mollie Voncil Dearman, all of Quitman; Lillie Mae Humphrey, Meridian; and Johnnie Marie Johnson, Needham, AL; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Lee Hamburg.


Bonney Kirkland Wetzler

Graveside services for Bonney Kirkland Wetzler were held Monday, June 12, 1995, at the Quitman Cemetery. Dr. Bryan Scarbrough officiated.
   Mrs. Wetzler, 79, died June 8, 1995 at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Gen. and Mrs. Minter Alexander in Alexandria, VA.
   She was born in Clarke County the daughter of William G. and Eva Bonney Kirkland, and received her college education at Mary Baldwin College, Mississippi State College for Women and Louisiana State University. She was Dean of Library Services at the University of Alabama until her retirement several years ago.
   Mrs. Wetzler was preceded in death by her first husband, Capt. Kihm Burell, who lost his life in World War II, and her second husband, Dr. Lewis Wetzler, who died December, 1993. She leaves her daughter, Victoria Burrell Alexander on Alexandria, VA; one granddaughter, two grandsons and one brother, William G. Kirkland, of Dahlonega, GA.


Mary Vaughn McWilliams

Graveside services for Mary Vaughn McWilliams were held June 20, 1995, at Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, MS. Dr. Brian Scarbrough officiated.
   Mrs. McWilliams, 78, of Quitman, died June 19, 1995, at H. C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
   Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia Vowell, Quitman; a brother, Billy Ray Vaugh, Taylorsville; a sister, Mavis Cowan, Bayou La Batre, Al., six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.


Joseph Richard Palmer, Sr.

Services for Joseph Richard Palmer were held June 20, 1995, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Dr. John Stevens officiated.
   Mr. Palmer, 81, of Quitman, died June 18, 1995, at his residence.
   Survivors include a wife, Glenise Palmer, Quitman; two sons, Joseph Palmer, Jr., Mobile, AL; Jeremy Palmer, Quitman; a daughter, Katherine Scott, Mobile, AL; mother, Mrs. Vervie Palmer, Quitman; a sister, Madeline Gentile, Louisville, KY; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
