Billy Earnest Harris

Graveside services were held at Odd Fellows Cemetery at 10:00 o'clock Tuesday, May 16, 1995, with Dr. John Stevens officiating. Wright's Funeral Home Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Harris, 77, died Sunday, May 14, 1995, at his residence.
   He was a member of First Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 1/2 years. He received an honorable discharge as a pharmacist mate first class.
   He was a practicing attorney in Quitman for 20 years.
   Survivors include his wife, Christine Harris; a son, Michael Harris, Meridian; a daughter, Barbara Harris Porter, Jackson; a sister, Mable Baskett, Meridian; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.


Vondelle Glisson Brashier

Services for Vondelle Glisson Brashier were held May 17, 1995, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Salem Cemetery. Rev. Horace Vinson officiated.
   Mrs. Brashier, 85, of Hattiesburg, died May 13, 1995, at Plaza Nursing Center in Pascagoula.
   A native of Smith County, Mrs. Brashier was a former resident of Jackson and resided in Hattiesburg for 10 years. She was a member of Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church of Jackson and attended the First Baptist Church of Hattiesburg.
   Survivors include two sons, James W. Brashier, Jr., Gautier; James C. Brashier, Missouri City, TX; six daughters, Doris Dupre, Fayetteville, Alabama; Lee Delle Wilson, Hattiesburg; Joann Driscoll, Annandale, Virginia; Mary Ruth Parker, McComb; Donna Smith, Lake Oswego, Oregon; and Judy Hayes, Destin, Fla.; a brother, J. D. Glisson, Jackson; two sisters, Vida Blackwell, Raleigh and Mary Lou Garrett, Pascagoula; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.


Earl Bonner

Services for Earl Bonner were held May 20, 1995, at Cedar Creek Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Pete Shirley officiated.
   Mr. Bonner, 72, of Quitman, died May 19, 1995, at his residence.
   Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Bonner, Quitman; two sons, Jackie Bonner, Marion, MS; and Jerry Bonner, Petal, Ms; two daughters, Judy Ivy, Quitman; and Sherry Lee, Tupelo; two brothers, Lyle Bonner, Newton; and Bill Bonner, Lessville, JS; a sister, Sadie Mae Carroll, Quitman; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


Norris Boggan

Services for Norris Boggan were held May 23, 1995, at New Fellowship Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery in Jasper County. Rev. L. B. Simmons and Rev. Norman Arthur officiated.
   Mr. Boggan, 69, of Rose Hill, died May 20, 1995, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Jasper County and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the New Fellowship Baptist Church; was a veteran of World War II, U. S. Army; American Legion Post #0173, Hickory; received a military cross of honor from the United States Daughters of Confederacy; a descent of P.M. Boggan, an 8th Regiment Confederate of America and a descent of an early settler of the Fellowship community.
   Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Hand Boggan, Fellowship; three daugthers, Audrey Mae Boggan Burt, Enterprise; Rebecca Boggan Fairchild, Hattiesburg; Dianne Boggan Hayes, Brownsville, TX; a brother, Dr. Austin P. Boggan, Decatur; six grandsons and a granddaughter; one nephew and two nieces.
   He was preceded in death by a brother, Preston M. Boggan; and parents, Austin Grailey Boggan and Ida Wilson Poole.
   Serving as pallbearers were Robert E. Boggan, Charles Boggan, Frank Boggan, Wallace Boggan, Thomas Noflet Boggan, Ray Brooks, George Chatham and John William McMillan. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of New Fellowship Baptist Church.
   Webb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
