Services for William Jeffery Cotten were held April 21, 1995, at Rose Hill Baptist Church with burial in the Phalti Cemetery. Rev. John West and Rev. Keith Boggan officiated.
Mr. Cotten, 28, died April 19, 1995, at his residence.
Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Marty Jo Cotten, Rose Hill; wife, Brenda D. Cotten, Rose Hill; three brothers, Jerry Cotten, Jr., Michael Cotten and Travis Cotten; a sister, Barbara Ann Lewis, all of Rose Hill; paternal grandmother, Effie Cotten, Rose Hill; and brother-in-law, David Lewis; four nieces and nephews, all of Rose Hill.
Franklin Amos McLendon

Services for Franklin Amos McLendon was held April 24, 1995, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Dr. Bryan Scarbrough and Dr. John Stevens officiated.
Mr. McLendon, 87, of Quitman, died April 22, 1995, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Kirkland McLendon, Quitman; daughter, Gage McLendon Roberson, Greenwood; grandson, William Marion Roberson, II, Greenwood; and a sister, Mildred McLendon Myers, Raleigh.
Serving as pallbearers were W. L. Brown, Fred Blackledge, Gulliam Graham, John Kirkland, Tally D. Riddell, H. B. Hammack, John Barry, Hal N. Dabbs, Jr., John Hammack, Dr. Dewey Frank Myers, R. W. Dabbs, Dr. John O. Massey, G. F. Dabbs, Jr., and Dennis Dabbs.
Honorary pallbearers was the United Methodist Men's Sunday School Class.
Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church in Quitman or to a favorite charity.

Services for Billy Lamar Phillips were held April 25, 1995, at Stonewall Methodist Church with burial in the Stonewall Cemetery. Rev. Jay Rostochil and Rev. Gerald Chaney officiated.
Mr. Phillips, 64, of Stonewall, died April 23, 1995, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Octavia Phillips, Stonewall; two sons, Dennis Lamar Phillips, Stonewall; and Steven Wesley "Squeak" Phillips, Stonewall; a brother, Freeman Phillips, Stonewall; two sisters, Wanda Blanks, Quitman; and Mary Ogelvie, San Jose, California; and four grandchildren, Denny and Casey Phillips and Steven Ray and Sasha Phillips.
James Hoyt Fox

Services for James Hoyt Fox were held April 25, 1995, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Enterprise Cemetery. Rev. Buddy Braddock officiated.
Mr. Fox, 73, of Enterprise, died April 23, 1995, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ava Fox, Enterprise; three sons, James C. Fox, Chunky; Paul Fox, Enterprise and Randy Turner, Meridian; three daughters, Faye Allen, Enterprise; Marlene Hester, Meridian; and Paulette Parker, DeSoto; two brothers, Willie Gene Fox, Chattanooga, TN; and Gerald Fox, Columbus; one sister, Katherine Hampton, Nashville; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
