G. William Frimd, 93, of Masonic Homes, Elizabethtown, formerly of 416 Huntington Drive, Mountville, died of natural causes Wednesday at the Masonic Health Care Center, Elizabethtown. He had lived at the Masonic Homes since June 19.
Frimd was customer service manager of the former K-D Maunfacturing Co. He retired in 1973 after 40 years. He also worked at John Herr's Village Market, Millersville.
In recent years, he volunteered in the chaplain's office at Lancaster General Hospital and at Hamilton Park United Church of Christ.
He was a 1928 graduate of the former Boy's High School.
Frimd was a longtime member at both First Reformed Church, United Church of Christ, where he was Sunday school treasurer, and Hamilton Park United Church of Christ, where he was the oldest member.
A 32nd-degree Mason, he was a member of Andrew H. Hershey Lodge 764, where he served as tiler from 1978 to 2001. He also belong to Lancaster Lodge of Perfection, Consistory in the Valley of Harrisburg, Zembo Temple and Harrisburg and Lancaster County Shrine clubs.
He was a lifelong sports fan.
Born in Lancaseter, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Mary Siple Frimd.
His first wife, Edith Thompson Frimd, died in 1959 and his second wife, Catherine Hess Beppler Frimd, died in 1994.
Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis F., wife of Robert E. Sanders of Mountville; a son, G. William Jr., address unknown; a stepson, William H. Beppler of Chesapeake, Va.; three grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
