Vivian Fleming Boykin

Graveside services for Vivian Fleming Boykin were held October 11, 1995, at DeSoto Cemetery. Rev. Wayne Taylor and Rev. Randall Wafker officiated.
   Mrs. Boykin 94, of DeSoto, died October 9, 1995, at her residence.
   Survivors include two son, Grady E. Boykin, Natchez, MS; and Ralph Boykin, Quitman; two daughters, Dorothy B. Sellers, Quitman; and Juanita B. Glass, DeSoto; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to DeSoto Methodist Church.


Doris Eloise Jay

Services for Doris Eloise Jay were held October 14, 1995, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in McGowan's Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Gary McInnis officiated.
   Mrs. Jay, 70, died October 13, 1995, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
   Survivors include two sons, James L. Castle and Kenny Castle, both of Quitman; daughter, Wanda Shirley, Quitman; mother, Lelia Brashier, Qutiman; brother, James Brashier, Clinton; a sister, Hazel Moss, Petal; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.


Geneva Loriene Hailes

Graveside services for Geneva Loriene Hailes were held October 16, 1995, at Hepzibah Cemetery in Clarke County. Rev. Grady Crowell officiated.
   Mrs. Hailes, 82, of Shubuta, died October 15, 1995, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
   Survivors include a son, J.S. Hailes, Jr., Meridian; several nieces and nephews.


William Harry Hill

Services for William Harry Hill were held October 7, 1995, at Radney Funeral Home Chapel in Saraland, Ala., with burial in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
   Mr. Hill, 79, of Spanish Fort, Ala., died October 4, 1995.
   He was a native of DeSoto, a former member and deacon of Spanish Fort Baptist Church.
   Mr. Hill retired from the Alumninum Ore Company after 39 years. He was also a fifty year member of Pentalpha Lodge #804 F & AM and a member of the Ethel Ramsey Chapter #230 O.E.S.
   He was also a former member of the Civilian Conservation Corps.
   Survivors include his wife, Mary Annie (Coker) Hill; two daughters, Glenda H. Mathis, Satsuma, Ala.; and Barbara Topper, Rome, GA; a brother, Ollie Hill, Chickasaw; two sisters-in-law, Marguerite Hill and Daisey Hill, both of Saraland; five grandchildren, Sherene Mason, Royce Mathis, Curtis Mathis, all of Satsuma; Gerald Tyler Snyder, Jr., Monroe, GA; and Kevin L. Snyder, Mobile; and seven great-grandchildren and a devoted friend and caretaker, Blanch Gautney.
