Annie Christine Williams

Services for Annie Christine Williams were held October 19, 1995, at Stonewall Methodist Church with burial in the Stonewall Cemetery. Rev. Jay Rostochil and Rev. Broxie Hardesty officiated.
   Mrs. Williams, 75, of Stonewall, died October 17, 1995, at Riley's Hospital.
   Survivors include a son, Frank Jerry Williams, Laurel; four daughters, Carmen Ramona Scrimpshire, Becky Harper and Rhonda Smith, all of Stonewall; and Melissa Harrelson, Wilmington, North Carolina; three brothers, David L. Williams, Quitman; Cecil M. Williams and Max E. Williams, both of Meridian; three sisters, Dot Jacobs and Mildred Hennington, both of Quitman; and Lou Alice Williams, Stonewall; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.


John Horne Cook

Services for John Horne Cook were held October 17, 1995, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. William B. Webb officiated.
   Mr. Cook, 83, of Quitman, died October 15, 1995, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
   Survivors include a son, Jimmy Ray Cook, Memphis, TN; a daughter and son-in-law, Billy and Glenda Watkins, Meridian; sister, Lizzie O'Neal, Solon, Iowa; grandson, Tim Watkins, Houston, TX; two granddaughters, Ellen Watkins, Houston, TX; and Lisa Rhinehart, Collierville, TN; and a great-grandson, Jordan Watkins, Houston, TX.
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Mae Cook; sister, Ezell Williams, a brother, R.G. Cook and a nephew, Lavon Williams.

Graveside services for Donald Mitchell Endicott were held October 23, 1995, at McGowan's Chapel Cemetery.
   Mr. Endicott, 33, died October 20, 1995.
   Survivors include his father, Theodore Endicott, Pasadena, TX; mother, Ruth Hill, Shubuta; wife, Pamela Endicott, Forth Worth, TX; son and daughter, Donald Mitchell Endicott, Jr., and Monica Endicott, both of Pasadena, TX; four brothers, Grover Sheffield, Jr., Birmingham, AL; Stanley Sheffield, Olympia, WA; Frank Endicott, Los Angeles, CA; Theodore Endicott, Jr., Copper's Cove, TX; four sisters, Dona Larwence, West Columbia, TX; Becky Stear, St. Louis, MO; Shirley Endicott, Los Angeles, CA; and Dorothy Fricky, San Diego, CA.


William (T-Bone) Alford, Sr.

Services for William Alford, Sr., were held October 1, 1995, at Little Hope Baptist Church in Toomsuba with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. L.T. King officiated.
   Mr. Alford, 79, died at his Enterprise residence, September 25, 1995. He moved his family (Alfords) to Clarke County (Basic City) in 1960. He was a retired farmer and World War II veteran of foreign wars.
   He leaves to carry on his legacy five sons, William Alford, Jr., Toomsuba; Alfonzo Alford, Benjamin Alford and Willie C. Alford, all of Enterprise; Ezekiel Alford, Meridian; nine daughters, Everlena McGowan, Francis P. Grigsby, Ethel J. Clark, Sylvia D. Alford, Brenda J. Alford and Lynda F. Clark, all of Enterprise; Nellie A. Green, Quitman; Aileen Love, Moss Point; Lorine Alford, Barnett; two brothers, Herman Alford and James Alford, both of Toomsuba; Eddie B. Cooper, Birmingham, AL; Mary L. Lamar and Annie R. Jones, Lake City, FL; three special sisters-in-law, Martha Alford, Russell; Beatrice Powell, Toomsuba; and Marie Alford, Toomsuba; and a very special friend, William Henry (Yank) King; a number of grandchildren and friends.
