Services for Mrs. Eula Mae Hurst were held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday in Wright Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Joe Walker and Rev. W. W. Hayes officiating. Interment was in the Quitman cemetery.
Mrs. Hurst died Friday night at H. C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Leon Loper, Quitman; two sons, V. G. Hurst, Quitman and Wilburn Hurst, Huntertown, W. Va.; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters Mrs. Sallie Wilson, Shreveport, La., and Mrs. Ava Martin, Quitman; two brothers, Curtis Graham, Purvis and Clinton Graham, Quitman.
Carter J. Lowery

Carter J. Lowery of Houston, Texas, passed away Jan. 24 in a Houston Hospital at the age of 46.
Graveside services were held Jan. 28 at 10:00 a.m., at Zion Rest Cemetery.
Mr. Lowery is survived by his wife, Mrs. Janie Lowery; two sons, Ralph and Johnny Lowery, one daughter, Tennie Marie Lowery all of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Jesse LeFlora, Clarkdale, Miss., Mrs. J. V. Brownlee, Laurel, Mrs. Doris Byrd, New Orleans, La.; three brothers, Carlis Lowery, New Orleans, La., Wilton Lowery, Meridian, Huey Lowery, Heidelberg.
Abe K. Keahey

Abe Kline Keahey of Enterprise, Route 2, passed away Jan. 27 at Jones County Community Hospital, Laurel, at the age of 64.
Funeral services were held Jan. 29 at Souenlovie Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m., with the Revs. Fred Chancellor, Parker Chancellor and Ronnie Mercer officiating. Interment was in the Old Souenlovie Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Oreita Keahey; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Sanders, Memphis, Tenn.; three brothers, J. J. Keahey, Enterprise, W. P. Keahey, Memphis, Tenn., Elihue Keahey, Atlanta, Ga.
Willie J. McGill

Willie James McGill of Pachuta passed away Jan. 25 at Jones County Community Hospital, Laurel, at the age of 74.
Funeral services were held Jan. 27, at 10 a.m., at the Pachuta Methodist Church with the Revs. Stanley Landrum and Youngblood officiating. Interment followed in the Rushton Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elsie McGill; two daughters, Mrs. Joe McNair, Magee, Mrs. Roy Rowzee, Laurel; one brother, Wilton McGill, Citronelle; six granddaughters.
