Duggar "Doug" Eugene Roberts, Jr.

Duggar "Doug" Eugene Roberts, Jr. 74, of Quitman, MS, passed away on February 3, 2014, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
     He was born on April 28, 1939, to Duggar and Viola (Causey) Roberts in Citronelle, AL. Mr. Roberts was a U.S. Navy veteran.
     Doug is survived by his wife, Beth Roberts; son, Dustin Leon Roberts; daughters, Susan Annette Chatham, Vicky Diane (Michael) VanKerun, Connie (Jeff) Reid, Donna (Steve) Harper and Mandy (Michael) Griffin; 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Carl Rayford (Karen) Roberts; sisters, Becky (Hank) Gandy and Lawriece Durham and 1st wife, Helen Green; sister-in-law, Tammy (Gary) Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his father, Duggar Eugene Roberts Sr., mother, Viola Causey Norsworthy; sister, Mae Jewel Gibson; step-father, Leon Norsworthy, and granddaughter, Dena Marie Lynn Reid.
     Visitation was held Thursday, February 6, 2014, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman.
     Funeral services were held on Friday, February 7, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at the Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Glen Lafferty and Rev. Larry Browning officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial took place in the Archusa Memorial Gardens.
     Pallbearers were Greg Fairchild, Ira Allen, Joseph Allen, Chris Evans, Tony Lewis and Walter Lafferty.

Mr. Bob Edwards

Funeral services for Mr. Bob Edwards were held on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive United Methodist Church with Rev. Willie Young, officiating. Rev. Albert Shields is the pastor. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mr. Edwards, 95, died on Monday, February 3, 2014, at Lakeside Living Center in Quitman, MS.      The body laid in state for one hour prior to funeral service time. Visitation was held Saturday, February 8, 2014, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the church. Enterprise Funeral Home of Meridian, MS, was entrusted with the final arrangements.

Estelle Edwina Ivy Neal

Estelle Edwina Ivy Neal, 84, of Quitman, MS, passed away on February 5, 2014, at Anderson's Hospital.
     She was born on October 22, 1929, to Sam and Anna (McDaniel) Ivy in Mobile, AL.
     Estelle is survived by her sons, Michael Schrimpshire and Paul (Michell) Schrimpshire; daughters, Sara (Timothy) Beckman and Angie Nichols; 15 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; brother, James Ivy and sister, Marie Ferguson.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, L.J. Neal; sons, Toby Schrimpshire and Richard Schrimpshire; daughters, Linda Burnett and Brenda Ford; granddaughter, Brandy Ford; grandson, Randall Ford; great-grandson, David Schrimpshire Jr.; father, Sam Ivy and mother, Anna Ivy.
     Visitation was held Thursday, February 6, 2014, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
     Funeral services were held on Friday, February 7, 2014, 11:00 am at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Morris officiating. Burial will take place in the Corinth Assembly of God Cemetery.

Annie Mae Smith

Annie Mae Smith, 77, of Stonewall, MS, passed away on February 6, 2014, at her residence.
     She was born on January 5, 1937, to Tom and Emma (Waltman) Cowart in Prichard, AL. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church in Meridian, MS.
     Annie is survived by her son, Lamar Smith; daughters, Barbara (JD) Whitaker, Martha (Kenny) Stroud, Jackie Smith and Cheryl (Timmy) Harrison; step-daughters, Mary Jo (Edwin) Gunn and Thelma (Hugh) Chancellor; 15 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren and extended family members.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, L. J. Neal; sons, Toby Schrimpshire and Richard Schrimpshire; daughters, Linda Burnett and Brenda Ford; granddaughter, Brandy Ford; grandsons, Randall Ford and John Schrimpshire; great-grandson, David Schrimpshire Jr.; father, Sam Ivy and mother, Anna Ivy.
     Visitation was held Friday, February 7, 2014, after 5:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, MS.
     Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ritchy Davis and Rev. Tony Chancelor officiating. Burial took place in the Rolling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
     Pallbearers were Michael Downs, Brad Stroud, Dustin Smith, Justin Smith, Billy Scrimpshire, Scott Smith, Landis Herrin and Jamie Walker. Honorary Pallbearers was Andy Harrison.

Charlotte Marie Couch Willis

Charlotte Marie Couch Willis, 91, of DeSoto, MS, passed away on February 7, 2014, at Golden Meadows Personal Care Residence.
     She was born on April 11, 1922, to Frank Couch and Eula Coker Couch in Clarke Co., MS.
     Charlotte is survived by a son, John A. Willis; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
     Visitation was held Sunday, February 9, 2014, 1:00-2:30 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, MS.
     Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 9, 2014, 2:30 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Cemetery with Rev. Mike Hollingsworth officiating.
     Burial took place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery Quitman, MS.
