Madison S. Posey

PHILADELPHIA - Services for Madison S. Posey will be held today at 2 p.m. at Bethsaida Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
     Mr. Posey, 84, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
     Survivors include his wife, Gladys Posey of Philadelphia; daughters, Dorothy Pope and Elaine Wheat, both of Philadelphia, and Clara Hardin of Montgomery, Ala.; sons, Willard Posey, Paul Posey and Robert Posey, all of Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his son, Freman Posey; and a granddaughter, Rachel Dasher.

Billie Brannon Dill

Services for Billie Brannon Dill will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Carl White officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
     Mrs. Dill, 82, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare Center. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church, the Meridian Lions Club, the Garden Club and had served as a librarian at Highland Baptist Church. She also was an avid gardener.
     Survivors include her daughters, Scarlett McGee of Bourg, La., Vicky Bennett and her husband, Richard, of Houston, and JoAnne Massey and her husband, Pete, of Jackson; grandchildren, Todd Bennett of Houston, Delena Daniels and her husband, Robert, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Allison Massey, Amilia Massey and Haley Massey, all of Jackson; a great-grandchild, Robbie Daniels of Virginia Beach; and sisters, Helen McGarrah of Columbus, Ga., Lindy Alexander of Newville, Ala., and Celia Lackey.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dill; and a sister, Lucille Spires.
     Memorials may be made to Lions of Mississippi Sight Foundation, P.O. Box 520668, Flowood, MS 39232.
     Pallbearers will be Richard Bennett, Todd Bennett, Pete Massey, Elwood Vick, Jerry Townsend and Lamar Smith.
     Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m.-7p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jessie C. Roberts

Graveside services for Jessie C. "Jake" Roberts will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. John Koch officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
     Mr. Roberts, 87, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, in his home.
     Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Jossie Edna Roberts of Meridian; his children, Dorothy Wilson and her husband, Jack, of San Antonio; Jessie Faye Pace and her husband, Larry, Chester Roberts and his wife, Brenda, Charles Roberts and his wife, Cissy, and Randall Roberts and his wife, Jodean, all of Meridian; sisters, Viola Lovette, Lee Berta Hatley, Minnie Espy, Dorothy Mae Matlock and Edna Earl Eshee; a brother, Marvin Roberts; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his brothers, W.L. "Duck" Roberts and James L. "Runt" Roberts; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
     Pallbearers will be Marty Patrick Reed, Charlie Roberts, Troy Roberts, Matt Roberts, Martin Douglas Reed and Taylor Satcher.
     Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Minnie R. Dillard, 82, of Newton, who died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, at Riley Hospital.
