Otto Adams Meets With Fatal Accident
While bathing (illegible) crash last Sunday afternoon, Otto Adams met with an accident that cost him his life.
   Otto, with some (illegible) were practicing (illegible) into a shallow part of Archusa creek. Making (illegible) Otto dived to his (illegible).
   Otto was (illegible) and a physician (illegible) who pronounced his injury fatal.
   Otto is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Adams (illegible)
   The funeral service were conducted at the Methodist church on Tuesday at 9 o'clock a. m. and his remains were interred in Old Pleasant Hill cemetery. about six miles west of Quitman. His aged parents have the sympathy of all. Three of their sons have died within the past two years, and each of the three have passed away on the 14th day of the month.

Mrs. Sallie Stovall Weems, widow of W. L. Weems, an old citizen of Shubuta, died at eleven o'clock last Friday morning, June 11, after lingering illness.


John Allen Buckalew

The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. James Buckalew died at the family home in Whistler, Ala., on last Saturday June 12th. The remains were brought to Quitman where the funeral services were held and the little body laid to rest in the Odd Fellow cemetery on Sunday.
