2 July 1920 Obits

Andrew Philip Roberts
The Clarke County Tribune
Andrew Philip Roberts, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Roberts, of Blodgett, Miss., died in the Hospital at Laurel, Miss., May 24, 1920, where he was carried for treatment of blood poison caused by a nail being stuck in his foot. Age nine years, one month, thirteen days. All that loving hands and medical aid coud do was not limited, yet God saw best to call Andrew to his home above where there are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. God is gathering lambs from every fold to fill the places prepared for all who do his will. Andrew leaves father and mother, brothers and sisters to be reunited with his loved ones and the Lord there to abide forever. his body was laid to rest in Mount Pisga cemetery where he awaits the morning of the resurrection. He leaves of his own earnings a small bank account to his mother, this being his request at death. It is little matter at what hour of day the righteous fall asleep, death cannot come to him untimed, who has learned to die. The less of this brief life the more of Heaven. The shorter time, the longer Immortality.
