Benjamin Luther Thompson was born o 20 June 1879 in Charlestown, Maryland. He died on 15 December 1959 in Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware. He married Bessie M. Harlan on 11 April 1908 in Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware.

The Rev. Kenneth A. Horner, pastor of Faith Bible Presbyterian Church, will officiate at funeral services tomorrow at noon at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, Twenty-fourth and Market Streets, for Benjamin L. Thompson, 80, a druggist in this city for more than a half century, who died yesterday morning at the Wilmington General Hospital. He had been a patient there for the past eight weeks. Interment will be in Lombardy Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
   Born in Charlestown, Md., Mr. Thompson came to Wilmington at an early age, and for 51 years was a druggist at Danforth's Drug Store, 124 Market Street. He retired in 1952. His wife, Mrs. Bessie M. Thompson, died in 1954.
   For the past two years, Mr. Thompson had made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Edward Hughes of 211 South Colonial Avenue, Colonial Heights.
   Survivors, in addition to Mrs. Hughes, include another daughter, Mrs. Roy G. Lynam of Gwinhurst; a son, Harlan L. Thompson of Lyndalia; nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
   Mr. Thompson was a member of Faith Bible Presbyterian Church, and a former member of the church board of trustees.
