William Thomas Harlan (1912-1975)

William Thomas Harlan was born on 18 May 1912 in New York. He died on 20 May 1975 in Easton, Maryland.

William T. Harlan, Jr., 63, of Route 5, Easton, Md., a food company executive and former Upper Darby resident, died Tuesday in Memorial Hospital, Easton.
   Mr. Harlan was born in New York City and lived many years in Drexel Hill before moving to Easton in April.
   He was graduated in 1936 from the University of Virginia with a degree in business administration.
   He was vice president of marketing for Akron Standard Meats and Foods Co., Akron, Ohio.
   An Army veteran of World War II, from 1942 to 1946, he was a major, served in the European Theatre and received the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, two Purple Hearts and the English Military Cross.
   He was a former member and senior elder of Christ United Presbyterian Church in Drexel Hill.
   He was married in 1950 to the former Mary Elizabeth Lodge, who died in 1974.
   He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth McIntyre Taylor, whom he married in April; two daughters, Mrs. Susan H. Martin of Rock Hill, S.C., and Mrs. Linda H. Filipovits of Northampton, and three grandchildren.
   Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Christ Episcopal Church, Easton, Md.
   The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the American Heart Association, Salisbury, Md., or to Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, Easton, Md.
