Services for Ruth M. McMillian, age 83, of Rt. 3, Quitman, were held on April 9, 1991, at Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in McGowan's Chapel Cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McMillian passed away on April 7, 1991, at Anderson's Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by three sons, James R. McMillian, Knoxville, Tenn., Allen McMillian, Charles McMillian, both of Meridian; five daughters, Betty Stallings, Patsy Hunter, Sarah Perritt, all of Quitman; Joan Carpenter, Shubuta, Ruth Smith, Escatawpa, Ms.; twenty-three grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McMillian is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas McMillian and a daughter, Beatrice Campbell.
Phillip Hulett Gable

Services for Phillip Hulett Gable, age 81, of Rt. 1, Quitman, were held on April 8, 1991, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the East Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Gable passed away on April 6, 1991, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
He is survived by three sons, Charles Gable, Quitman; Phillip Hubert Gable, Meridian; Eddie Gable, Quitman; three daughters, Mattie Coffin, Quitman; Louise Fleming, Hichcock, Texas; Martha Ford, Quitman; one brother, William N. Gable, Mobile, Ala.; five sisters, Eva Adams, Jackson; Louella Warren, Pontoc, Ms.; Doris Butts, Mobile, Ala.; Lillian Loncono, Mobile, Ala.; Nora Belle Lambert, Quitman; twenty-two grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Services for Lula Mae Doherty, age 74, of Orange, Texas, were held on April 3, 1991, at Wright's Funeral home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. Glen McLeod and Rev. Johnny Mosley officiated.
Mrs. Doherty passed away on March 31, 1991, at Baptist Hospital in Orange, Texas.
She was a former resident of Quitman.
She is survived by two daughters, Tommie Pierce, Orange, Texas; Judy Doherty, Houston, Texas; one brother, S.W. "Bud" Dew, Quitman; three sisters, Bessie Lewis, Stonewall; Dodd Cranford, Ruth Flemings, both of Quitman; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
