Linda Ann Sanders

Services for Linda Ann Sanders, age 43, were held Friday, March 29, 1991, at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville.
   She passed away on March 27, 1991, in Houston, Texas.
   The family moved away from Clarke County in 1969. She is the daughter of Lewis and Ann Strickland and the niece of Reba Whitley.
   She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Strickland; Billy Strickland; Cynthia Wentzell; Fred Strickland and Jean Foreman of Ellisville; her sons, Richard Allen Sanders of Ellisville and Christian Lewis Sanders of Huntsville, Texas.


Leroy McAdams

Graveside services for Leroy McAdams, age 68, of Star Route, Shubuta, were held March 30, 1991, at Antioch Cemetery. Rev. Johnny Mosley and Rev. Eugene Moffett officiated. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. McAdams passed away on March 28, 1991, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   He is survived by his wife, Sallie McAdams, Shubuta; one son, Dennis Earl McAdams, Shubuta; three brothers, Clyde McAdams, Willie B. McAdams, Shubuta; Frank McAdams, Quitman; and a host of nieces and nephews.


Daniel Rufus Tanner

Services for Daniel Rufus Tanner, age 73, of Rt. 1, Quitman, were held on March 30, 1991, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Stonewall Cemetery. Rev. Johnny Mosley and Rev. Bob Powell officiated.
   Mr. Tanner passed away on March 27, 1991, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Crocker, Quitman; one brother, Brown Tanner, Quitman; three sisters, Willie Mae Sims, Idella Grayson, Geneva Carney, all of Quitman; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.


William Benjamin May

Services for William Benjamin "Jack" May, age 76, of Stonewall, were held on March 29, 1991, at Wright's Funeral home Chapel with burial in the Stonewall Cemetery. Rev. Eurselle Boone and Rev. Randy Satcher officiated.
   Mr. May passed away on March 27, 1991, at Anderson's Hospital.
   He is survived by his wife, Inez May, Stonewall; three sons, George Melton, Johns, Ms.; William Henry Melton, Charles Melton, Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Kathy May, Stonewall; Francis Harris, Dallas, Texas; five sisters, Ida Rushing, Emma Sumrall, Nonie Miller, Jackson; J.D. Presitage, Morton, Ms.; Pearl Lee Dunaway, Slidell, La.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.


John Williamson Slaten

Services for John Williamson Slaten, age 95, of Monroeville, Ala., were held on March 27, 1991, at Zion Rest Congregational Methodist Church with burial in the Zion Rest Cemetery. Rev. Walter Bruce and Rev. Charles Davis officiated. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Slaten passed away on March 26, 1991, in Excel, Ala.
   He is survived by three nieces, Mrs. Neva Meeks, Mrs. Carrie Sullivan and Mrs. Virginia Calvert.


Howard Jefferson Mosley

Services for Howard Jefferson Mosley, age 69, of Rt. 2, Shubuta, were held on March 27, 1991, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in McGowan's Chapel Cemetery. Rev. David Jay and Rev. Dennis Kennedy officiated.
   Mr. Mosley passed away on March 25, 1991, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   He is survived by his wife, Lennie Mosley, Shubuta; one son, Charlie Mosley, Shubuta; two sisters, Louise Menasco, Shubuta; Ruth Robinson, Pensacola, Fla.; and one grandchild.
