Services for Marcus Hicks, age 47, of Route 15, Meridian, were held on October 12, 1990, at Webb Funeral Home in Meridian with burial in Carmel. Rev. Bob Followell officiated.
   Mr. Hicks passed away on October 9, 1990.
   He was employed at Meridian Transit Bus Lines.
   Mr. Hicks is survived by his mother, Eva White, Stepfather, Lawery White, Greenville, Ms.; father, Curtis Hicks, Stepmother, Nita Hicks, Meridian; four sisters, Ann Ivey, Quitman; Shirley Weeks Shaws, Mary Jane Greer, Vicksburg; Brenda Britt, Clarksdale; one brother, O'Neal White, Greenville; several nieces and nephews.


Eunice Iola Ivey

Services for Eunice Iola Ivey, age 89, of Rt. 1, Quitman, were held on October 15, 1990, at Rolling Creek Baptist Church with burial in Rolling Creek Cemetery. Wright's Funeral was in charge of arrangements. Rev. Billy Burmfield and Rev. John Edwards officiated.
   Mrs. Ivey passed away on October 14, 1990, at Andersons Hospital.
   She is survived by three sons, Paul Ivey, Enterprise; Walter Ivey, Dawson L. Ivey, Quitman; three daughters, Lucille Thomas, Foyce Lee, Quitman; Edna Dotson, Enterprise; three brothers, Harmon Rasberry, Freddie Rasberry, Stonewall; (page blurred) Rasberry, Missouri; five sisters, Adde Mae White, Quitman; Zoe Cook, Meridian; Ruby Smith, Annie Laura Beeman, Collinsville, Bobbie Joyce Green, Oregon; thirty-five grandchildren, sixty-eight great grandchildren, and (page blurred) great: great: grandchildren.


Henry Ernest Culbreth

Services for Henry Ernest Culbreth, age 79, of Rt. 3, Vossburg, were held on October 16, 1990, at Pleasant Grove West Baptist Church with burial in Goodwater Cemetery. Wrights Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Rev. (page blurred) and Dr. Hardee Kennedy officiated.
   Mr. Culbreth passed away on October 14, 1990, at his residence.
   He was a retired Justice Court Judge in Clarke County for 16 years and a deacon at Pleasant Grove West Baptist Church.
   Mr. Culbreth is survived by his wife, Wilma Culbreth, Vossburg; two grandsons, Mike Culbreth, Ernie Culbreth, Vossburg; two step grandsons, Billy Belk, Vossburg; Brian Belk, Meridian; two sisters, Kathleen Davis, Nashville, Tenn.; and Mrs. Luna Egieston, Baton Rouge, La.


Winnie Ford

Services for Winnie Ford, age 88, of Quitman, were held on October 11, 1990, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
   Dr. (page blurred) officiated.
   Miss Ford passed away on October 9, 1990, at Anderson Hospital.
   She was a retired school teacher and a member of the First Baptist Church in Quitman.
   Miss Ford is survived by two nieces, Faye Blair, Quitman; (page blurred), Mulberry, Fla.; one nephew, Thomas Ford, (page blurred), several great nieces and nephews.


Lawrence Glynn Kerley

A funeral mass for Lawrence Glynn Kerley, age 58, was held on October 11, 1990, at St. Peters Catholic Church with burial in (page blurred) Cemetery in Jefferson Davis County. (page blurred)-Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
   Mr. Kerley was a Jefferson Davis County native. He served (page blurred) in Bay Springs, (page blurred), Quitman, (page blurred), Corinth, (page blurred), and Prentiss. He received a degree in agriculture from Mississippi State University. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
   Mr. Kerley was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and Knights of (page is blurred for remaining obituary so names may be slightly off) Columbus.
   He is survived by his wife, Bentee; son, Korky Kerley, Starkville; daughters, Kaye MacKay, Mount Pleasant, Texas; and Kathy Fleming, Columbus; brother, William L. Kerley, Hattiesburg; sister, Hilda Hurst, C???, La., and two grandchildren.


Charles Thomas

Services for Charles Thomas, age (page blurred), were held on Sunday, October 7, 1990, at Ott & Lee Chapel in Forest, Miss with burial in (page blurred) Cemetery in Forest. Rev. Sony Atkins and Rev. (page blurred) officiated.
   Pallbearers were (page blurred), Bill Bishop, Michael Thomas, Kenny Thomas, Sammy Thomas, Mike (page blurred).
   Mr. Thomas passed away on Friday, October 5, 1990, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, following an (page blurred) illness.
   He (page blurred) for the past 35 years and was a native of Clarke County. He was a member of the Forest Baptist Church, (page blurred). He was an also awarded the Teacher's Bronze Award. Mr. Thomas was a member of the U.S. Navy, Captain in the U.S. Army National Guard and a member of the Mississippi State (page blurred) Association.
   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Thomas, Forest; mother, (page blurred) Thomas, Harmony; two sons, Jeff Thomas, Jackson; Kevin Thomas, Forest; two brothers, (page blurred) Thomas, Harmony; J.D. Thomas, (page blurred); one sister, Ruth McDonald, Harmony; two grandchildren, Greg Thomas and Kim Thomas, both of Jackson, and a number of nieces and nephews.
