Dwinton "Don" M. Stringer

Dwinton "Don" M. Stringer, age 70, passed away August 21, 1992, of heart failure at Rankin General Hospital, Brandon.
Mr. Stringer was born in Santee, MS. He was a graduate of Forest Hill School and Hinds Junior College where he played football and baseball. He proudly served in the Marines during World War II. He was employed with Premier Auto Service and was an active member of Crossgates United Methodist Church in Brandon.
He is survived by his wife, Polly Stringer of Brandon; daughters, Betty Sue Stringer of Jackson; Cindy Shepherd of Memphis, TN; Pam Whaley of Quitman; brother, Wendall Stringer of Chillicothe, Ohio; sisters, Doris Calloway and Catherine McKissack, both of Jackson; Delorah Holm of Slidell, LA; and seven grandchildren.
Rev. Kelly Pope and Rev. Wendall Leggett officiated the service with burial at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.
Gladys Lucille Jay

Services for Gladys Lucille Jay were held on August 27, 1992, at Bucatunna Baptist Church with burial in the Ford Memorial Gardens. Rev. Buddy Braddock and Rev. Allen McCord officiated.
Mrs. Jay, age 75, of Meridian, passed away on August 25, 1992, at her residence.
She is survived by one son, Larry Jay, Meridian; two brothers, Reese Davidson and William Davidson, Meridian; one sister, Beatrice Stewart, Meridian.
John L. McNeil

Services for John L. McNeil were held August 30, 1992, at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Sanders and Rev. Richard Coats officiated.
Mr. McNeil, age 68, of Enterprise, passed away on August 28, 1992, at Jeff Anderson Hospital. He was born in Mississippi.
Mr. McNeil is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jewell McNeil, Enterprise; mother, Mrs. Nannie Bunch, Quitman; three sons, David McNeil, Gary McNeil, Dennis Weir, all of Enterprise; three daughters, Peggy Moore, Nederland, TX; Denise Rigdon, Paulette McNeil, both of Enterprise; three brothers, Billy McNeil, Laurel; Kearney McNeil, Pachuta; Hinky McNeil, Mobile, AL; four sisters, Doris Lewis, Quitman; Alice Ruth Miller, Mobile, AL; Joyce Thomas, Mobile, AL; Sandra Mosley, Quitman. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur McNeil; son, Ricky McNeil and daughter, Judy McNeil.
