Mary O. Fleming

Mary O. Fleming, age 77, of Winston Dr., Athens, Georiga, passed away on July 24, 1992.
   Mrs. Fleming, a native of Ellisville, Mississippi, had lived in the Athens area since 1986. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Crook and was married to the late Charles R. Fleming. She was a member of First Church of Nazarene.
   Funeral services were July 26, 1992, in the Chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Nichols officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens.
   Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Johns, Meridian; a son, Michael Edward Fleming, Athens, Georgia; two brothers, Jack Crook, Marietta, South Carolina; Gaines Crook, Conaga Park, California; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
   Lord & Stephens Funeral Home of Athens, Georgia, was in charge of arrangements.


Lawrence Andrew Martin

Services for Lawrence Andrew Martin, age 89, of Stonewall, were held on August 1, 1992, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Choctaw County, Alabama. Rev.  Buddy Braddock and Dr. Albert McMullan officiated.
   Mr. Martin passed away on July 30, 1992, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lola Martin, Stonewall; one son, Bob Martin, Meridian; two daughters, Daphne Sinclair, Gulfport; Jewel Hurt, Inverness, MS; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


David Ronald Galistel

Graveside services for David Ronald Galistel, age 51, of Rt. 1 Meridian, were held on August 3, 1992, at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. John Edwards officiated.
   Mr. Galistel passed away on August 1, 1992, at his residence. He was born in Kansas City, Mo. He served nine years with the U.S. Marines, member of the Disabled American Veterans and was retired from the Civil Service NAS Meridian.
   Mr. Galistel is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosa "Bunny" Galistel, Rt. 1 Meridian; one son, Steve Galistel; one daughter, Crystal Galistel, both of Meridian; one brother, Rudy Galistel, Marietta, GA; and one grandchild.


Dennis Russell Mason, Sr.

Dennis Russell Mason, Sr., of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on July 20, 1992, at his home.
   Mr. Mason was born in the Nancy Community October 11, 1912. He was the son of the late George Woodson Mason and Ida Merrill Mason.
   He is survived by his wife, Georgia L. Mason, Memphis; two sons, Dennis R. Mason, Jr., Hattiesburg; Ben W. Mason, Memphis; four brothers, Tony Mason, Tupelo; Bertis M. Mason, Gulfport; Clyde R. Mason, and W.A. Mason, both of Jackson, and four grandchildren.
   He was a retired technician with the Department of Agriculture.
   Services were held at Forest Hills Funeral Home, east of Memphis.
