Anita Jeannine Barnes (1929-2002)

Anita Jeannine Barnes was born on 2 October 1929 in Mississippi. She died on 29 June 2002 in Montgomery, Alabama.

Funeral services were held for Anita Jeannine Fulton, Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at the Bethesda Baptist Church in Prattville, Alabama. Rev. Burt Tippett and Rev. Charles Barnes officiated.
   Mrs. Fulton, 72, died June 29, 2002, at the Baptist Hospital in Montgomery, Ala.
   She is survived by her husband, Robert K. Fulton; two daughters, Cynthia Tullo and Shirley Crumby; two sons, James R. and Kenneth Fulton; sisters, Sarah Richardson, Pachuta; Ann Jackson, Stonewall; Emily Bigelow, Quitman; Betty Bryant, Griffin, Ga.; brothers, Charles R. Barnes, Annapolis, MD; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; special niece, Madanna Raines, Houston, Texas.
   Jean was born October 2, 1929, to the late Pearl and Alfred Barnes in Stonewall. She and her husband, Bob, spent 56 years together. Thirty of those years were in the United States Air Force. Traveling extensively, she was always active in her church. While living in the Philippine Islands she served in the Red Cross assisting the wounded veterans from Vietnam.
