Pearl English Barnes, 86, of School Street, Stonewall, died February 14, 1988 at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Services were held Feb. 16, 1988 at Stonewall Baptist Church with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial was at Stonewall Cemetery.
She was a member of the Stonewall Baptist Church, Stonewall Eastern Star and had lived in Stonewall for 72 years.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by one son, Charles Barnes of Millersville, MD; five daughters, Sarah Richardson of Pachuta, Ann Jackson and Emily Bigelow of Stonewall, Jean Fulton of Montgomery, and Betty Johnson of Griffin, GA; five sisters, Lula Stewart of Sandersville, Etta McLemore of Meridian, Alton Skelton of Basic City, Nancy Barnes of Hattiesburg, and Alma Payne of Stonewall; and fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
