The Clarke County Tribune, 9 April 1965 Charlie Cox of Route 2, Quitman, died Saturday at 3:35 p.m. at the age of 59.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 6, at 2:00 p.m., at Souenlovie Baptist Church with the Revs. Ed Grayson and Hill Logan officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dora C. Cox; seven daughters, Mrs. C. H. Culpepper and Mrs. Eula Ivy of Route 1, Quitman, Mrs. Bill Williams, Mrs. Christine Poole and Mrs. Pauline Nealey of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Ruby Nell Mosley and Mrs. Catherine Mosley of Vossburg; five sons, Richard of Mobile, Calvin of Dallas, Texas, Jack of Tacoma, Wash., Charles, Jr., of Quitman and Sgt. George Cox of Honolulu; and three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Brown of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Mary Jordan of Enterprise and Mrs. Belle Eason of Laurel.
Pallbearers were Gean Logan, Acy Eason, Pat Eason, Cecil Little, John Taylor and Ray Satcher.
