Jack Cox was born on 13 May 1929 in Mississippi. He died on 21 October 2007 in Bonita, California.

The Clarke County Tribune, 1 Nov 2007 Jack Cox of Imperial Beach, Ca., passed away October 21, 2007, at Shady Memorial Hospital. A military  funeral was held October 22, 2007, at Glen Abbey Mortuary and Chapel, Bonita, Ca.
   Mr. Cox was born May 13, 1929. He served 30 years in the Navy and retired as a chief petty officer.
   He is survived by his wife, Matilda Martha Cox, son, Jimmy (J.J.) Cox and wife, Nelly; daughter, Shawn Fieweiger and husband, Paul, and six grandchildren of Imperial Beach, Ca.; two brothers, Pete Cox, Quitman; and George Cox of Lancaster, S.C.; seven sisters, Pauline Ray, Meridian; Eula Thomas, Velma Culpepper, Nora Williams, Quitman; Catherine Mosley, Ruby Mosley and Christine Poole, Vossburg; numerous nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Calvin (Buddy) Cox.
