Sadie Davidson Meyer

Services for Sadie Davidson Meyer were held on March 18, 1993, at Snell Church of God with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Bernice Fleming officiated.
   Mrs. Meyer, age 79, of Rt. 6 Meridian, passed away on March 15, 1993, at Rush Hospital.
   Survivors include one son, Mr. Jerrell Davidson, San Antonio, TX; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Reynolds, Mrs. Kathy Cates, both of Meridian; and Mrs. Mary Ann Harris, Everett, Washington; one brother, Mr. Jamie Hagwood, Meridian; one sister, Mrs. Callie Butler, Meridian; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.


Amelia A. Hunter

Graveside services for Amelia A. Hunter were held on March 17, 1993, at Enterprise Cemetery with Rev. Bill Hayes officiating.
   Ms. Hunter, age 85, of McNeil Nursing Home, Enterprise, passed away on March 16, 1993, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   Survivors include one sister, Kate Hunter Ellison, Meridian; a nephew, C.L. Hunter and other nieces and nephews.


Ethel Mae Fleming

Services for Ethel Mae Fleming were held March 19, 1993, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Manassa Cemetery. Rev. Mark Thead and Rev. Keyon Smith officiated.
   Mrs. Fleming, age 95, of Quitman, passed away on March 17, 1993, at Anderson's Hospital.
   Survivors include one son, Hardy Wood Fleming, Quitman; three daughters, Mrs. Bobby Nell Hollingsworth, Mobile, AL; Mrs. Sunshine Slay, Mobile, AL; Mrs. Dot Norris Carrel, Fountain Inn, South Carolina; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.


Janis Elaine Dearman

Services for Janis Elaine Dearman were held on March 21, 1993, at Energy Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Boles officiated.
   Mrs. Dearman, age 54, of Rt. 7 Meridian, passed away on March 18, 1993, at Riley's Hospital.
   Survivors include her husband, Virgil Dearman, Meridian; four sons, Joey Pompa, Michael Dearman, Johnny Dearman and Heath Dearman, all of Meridian; one daughter, Mrs. Kim Saffel, Fort Hood, Texas; three brothers, Bill Wells, New Orleans, LA; Buddy Wells; Waynesboro; and Tim Wells, Roanoke, Virginia; two sisters, Mrs. Beth Shuman, Jacksonville, Florida; Ms. Sharline Wells, Ellisville, MS; and seven grandchildren.

Services for Sarah Ruth Thomas were held March 20, 1993, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Rev. Harold Laird officiated.
   Mrs. Thomas, age 71, of Rt. 2 Enterprise, passed away on March 18, 1993, at Anderson's Hospital.
   Survivors include three sons, James Gary Thomas, Philadelphia; Jerry Robert Thomas and Jimmy Andrew Thomas, both of Stonewall; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Hamrick Smith, Stonewall; and Mrs. Rita Talbert, Hickory, MS; fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.


Robert Earl Ivy

Services for Robert Earl Ivy were held on March 22, 1993, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Wilbur Hall and Rev. Jimmy Sanders officiated.
   Mr. Ivy, age 77, of Rt. 3 Quitman, passed away on March 20, 1993, at Riley's Hospital.
   Survivors include his wife, Mildred Ivy, Quitman; one son, Robert W. Ivy, Quitman; three daughters, Violet Lambert and Becky Dobbins, both of Quitman; Vida Ivy, Shubuta; one brother, George Larwence Ivey, Quitman; and fourteen grandchildren.


Verna Avera Carroll

Services for Verna Avera Carroll were held on March 22, 1993, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the New Home Cemetery. Elder Stanley Phillips officiated.
   Mrs. Carroll, age 88, of Rt. 4 Quitman, passed away on March 20, 1993, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   Survivors include one daughter, Imogene C. Brock, Quitman; two brothers, J. A. Avera, Cawtonment, FL; and George Avera, Quitman; three sisters, Dessie Linton and Mrs. Maggie Smith, both of Meridian; Mrs. Sarah Hazel Cooksey, Hattiesburg; and several nieces and nephews.


Willie Edward (Buddy) Robinson

Services for Willie Edward (Buddy) Robinson will be held March 24, 1993, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial in the Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Sanders and Rev. Ralph Smith officiated.
   Mr. Robinson, age 54, of Quitman, passed away on March 22, 1993, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
   Survivors include his wife, Faye Robinson, Quitman; one son, James Michael Robinson, Quitman; one daughter, Melissa Ann Fagan, Quitman; mother, Eula Robinson, Quitman; two brothers, Tommy D. Robinson, Meridian; and Horace Wayne Robinson, Quitman; two sisters, Louise Hayes, Pachuta; and Elizabeth Wade, Clara; and two grandchildren.
