Charlotte Ann Nix

Graveside services for Charlotte Ann Nix were held March 28, 2007, at Hopewell Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Owen officiating.
   Mrs. Nix, 63, of Quitman, died March 26, 2007, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
   Survivors include a son, Harry Byron Nix and Lisa, Energy; two daughters, Angela Nix McHenry and Jeffery, Quitman; and Michelle Nix Farris and Roger, Enterprise; a brother, Freddie Robinson and Rachel, Milton, Fla.; two sisters, Eloise Brown and W.L. of Quitman; and Elaine Majure and John of Gautier; seven grandchildren - Megan Humphrey Cordes, Ben Humphrey, Jordan McHenry, Kyle Farris, Alex Farris, loren Nix and Austin Thomas, one great granddaughter, Mackenzie Leigh Cordes.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, Berry W. and Ola M. Boles Robinson, and her husband, Harry.
   Pallbearers were Roger Farris, Gary Downey, Jeffery McHenry, Kyle Farris, Alex Farris and Ben Humphrey.


Hazel Pope Haywood

Hazel Pope Haywood, 84, formerly of Stonewall, died March 26, 2007, in Garden Suites Assisted Living in Aberdeen. Born on September 9, 1922, in Stonewall, she was the daughter of James T. and Ruth Hurst Pope. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stonewall and was a retired U.S. Postal Service employee, having served as acting postmaster for two of her 25 years with the USPS.
   Services will be held Thursday, March 29, 2007, at the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Aberdeen with Rev. David Harrell and Rev. R.D. Cline officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. at the Stonewall Cemetery.
   Survivors include a son, Larry S. and Faye Haywood, Aberdeen; two grandchildren, Stephen and Nancy Haywood of Mobile; and Katherine Haywood of Avon, Co.; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Glenda and Jimmy Rowell of Collinsville. She is also survived by special friends and caregivers, Sheila Blanchard, Willie Mae Daniels, Annie Bell Garth, Rosie Moore and the staff of Garden Suites.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Haywood, one great grandchild, Ian Charles Haywood, her parents, three brothers and a sister.
