Funeral services for R.B. Chandler, 87, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 15, 1995, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Forest, MS. Rev. Kenneth Jones officiated.
Mr. Chandler passed away on September 13, 1995 at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest, MS. He was a native of Neshoba County and had lived in Forest for 34 years before moving to Newton nine years ago. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Chandler was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Arbela Parker, Meridian, MS, Mary Harkey, Clewiston, FL, Desieree May and Faye Lanthrip, both of Forest, MS; one sister, Emma Lou Lackey, Philadelphia, MS; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jody Riser, John Carl Riser, Ben Stewart, Roger Bell, Jason Taylor, and Jeremy Taylor.
Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Forest was in charge of the arrangements.
