Arnold Love
The Clarke County Tribune
Services for Arnold Love were held on September 12, 1994, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. Brian Scarbrough and Rev. Winfred Burns officiated.
   Mr. Love, 77, of Quitman, died September 9, 1994, at Wayne County General Hospital. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Quitman.
   Survivors include his wife, Ocie Lee Love, Quitman; three daughters, Patricia Dawsey, Prospect Heights, Ill.; Cathy Graham, Brandon, Florida; and Iris Burns, Brandon; brother, Donald Love, Jackson; sister, Earnestine Wells, Jackson; and four grandchildren.
   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Quitman First United Methodist Church.


Mable Dora Britton

Services for Mable Dora Britton were held September 11, 1994, at DeSoto United Methodist Church with burial in Phillips Cemetery. Rev. D. P. "Doc" Williamson, Rev. Wayne Taylor and Rev. Richard Williams officiated.
   Miss Britton, 88, of Shubuta, died September 9, 1994, at her residence.
   Survivors include a sister, Josie Britton; sister-in-law Annie Kate Britton, Montgomery, AL; and two nieces, Linda Britton Moore, Montgomery, AL, and Jo Ann Smith, Jackson.
   She was a longtime employee of W.E. Blair Sons Department Store.
   In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to DeSoto United Methodist Church.


Grace Pope Thomas

Services for Grace Pope Thomas were held September 13, 1994, at Shady Grove First Baptist Church in Heidelberg with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Bill Boulton, Rev. Gayle Pope and Rev. Leon Parnell officiated.
   Mrs. Thomas, 87, of Heidelberg, died September 11, 1994, at Restful Acres Nursing Home.
   Survivors include three sons, Johnny Thomas, West Columbia, SC; Gilbert Thomas, Heidelberg; and Larry Thomas, Waynesboro; daughter, Linda Thomas Boulton, Baker, LA; three sisters, Juanita Reeves, Heidelberg; Pearl Gilmore, Enterprise and Jewel Bush, Hattiesburg; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, C. S. Thomas, a son, Alax Thomas and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Pope; four brothers and a sister.
