Kenneth Maurice Dear

Services for Kenneth Maurice Dear were held May 10, 1994, at Elwood Church of God with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Rev. Alee Hopson officiated.
   Mr. Dear was born October 14, 1971 to Sharon McGee Dear and Johnnie Dear, Sr. He died May 4, 1994, in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
   He graduated from Quitman High School in 1990 and received an Associate Degree in Carpentry in 1993 from Coahoma Junior College in Clarksdale.
   Survivors include his sons, Tyree Johnson, Cureon Rupert, Jerrod Ambrose, and Granzell Triemere Cooper, mother, Sharon Dear; father, Johnnie Dear, Sr.; Harold Wilson; one brother, Johnnie Dear, Jr., Meridian; two sisters, Valorie Hopson (Joseph) Junction City, Kansas; and Brenda Grimes (John), Kingsland, Georgia; maternal grandparents, Leroy and Rosie McGee, one nephew, Roddrick Hopson, three nieces, Kalondya Dumas, and Erica and Monica Grimes; aunt, Rosie M. Brown, Clarksdale; a special friend, Chendra Johnson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.
   He was preceeded in death by his paternal grandparents Wilton and Nancy Dear.


Pauline Gertrude Kennedy Dorman

Graveside services for Pauline Gertrude Kennedy Dorman will be held May 18, 1994, at 11:30 a.m. at McGowan's Chapel Cemetery. Rev. J. Hardee Kennedy will officiate.
   Mrs. Dorman, age 87, of Denham Springs, LA, died May 15, 1994. She was a native of Clarke County and a retired licensed practical nurse.
   Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Dorman Hand and a son-in-law, William F. (Bill) Hand, Denham Springs, LA; a sister, Gretchen Coalson, Biloxi; and a brother, J. Hardee Kennedy, Meridian; two granddaughters, Rhonda Holloman and Terry Hull, Denham Springs, LA; two grandsons Tony Hand, Zachary, LA; and Rick Hand, Snellville, GA; and six grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by Ulyss Grace Dorman, Jr.; parents, James Robert and Henrietta Hardee Kennedy; two brothers, Sam Ferrell Kennedy and Robert Edward Kennedy; two sisters, Mrs. Alice May Walker and Minnie Adrian Dove.


Mattie Laura Allerton

Graveside services for Mattie Laura Allerton were held May 16, 1994, at Orange Cemetery, Rev. Harrison officiated.
   Mrs. Allerton, age 87, of Laurel, died May 14, 1994, at South Central Medical Center.
   Survivors include two step-daughters, Margarette Sims, Mobile, AL; and Doddy Sams, Arizona and several nieces and nephews.
