Services for Helen Lovitt McCormick were held May 18, 1994, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Orange Cemetery. Rev. Larry Goodpaster and Jim Wall officiated.
Mrs. McCormick, age 84, of Meridian, died May 15, 1994, at Rush Hospital. She was a retired organ and piano teacher.
Survivors include one son, George E. McCormick, Jr., Houston, Texas three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a niece, Judith Marie Hart.
Annie Mae Martin

Services for Annie Mae Martin were held May 19, 1994, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. C. A. Farmer officiated.
Mrs. Martin, age 89, of Quitman, died May 17, 1994, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Rev. W.W. (Willie) Martin, Falling Waters, West Virginia; James (Dick) Martin, Nettleton, MS; and a daughter, Mrs. Claudia Kennedy, Stonewall; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Martin, two sons, Henry Martin and James A. Martin, Jr., and a grandchild, Jerry Martin.
V. L. (Boo) Hutto

Services for V.L. (Boo) Hutto were held May 19, 1994, at Shubuta Baptist Church with burial in the Shubuta Cemetery. Rev. Grady Crowell and Rev. Edsel Wells officiated.
Mr. Hutto of Shubuta, died May 17, 1994, at his residence. He was born December 30, 1910, to Laford Hutto and Allie Trigg. He was a member of the Shubuta Baptist Church; member of the Masonic Lodge of Shubuta and a Shriner; member of the Watkins Hospital Board of Directors; Board of Directors of Bank of Quitman and served on the Selective Service Board.
He was a veteran of the Army and served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Dora Mae Hutto, Shubuta; son, Bubba Hutto, Waynesboro; daughter, Mrs. Denece Knighten, Quitman; two brothers, Mr. Abe Hutto, Clara; and Mr. Buck Hutto, Hattiesburg; four sisters, Mrs. Zora Moseley, Mobile; Mrs. Zattie Graham, Clara; Mrs. Zimmie Boutwell, Jackson; and Mrs. Zela DeLuca, Boston, Mass.; four granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
Freeman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Glyn L. Harrell

Services for Glyn L. Harrell were held May 21, 1994, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Hopewell Cemetery. Rev. Doc Williamson, Dr. Brian Scarbrough and Rev. Wayne Taylor officiated.
Mr. Harrell, age 75, of Quitman, died May 19, 1994.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel W. Harrell, Quitman; six daughters, Carolyn Lucas, Kathy Evans and Karen Shepherd, all of Quitman; Glenda Weaver, Decatur; Dianne Evans, Shubuta; and Peggy Seguin, Gulfport; eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; and one brother, Ross Harrell, Stonewall.
Wallace Lavelle Carroll

Services for Wallace Lavelle Carroll were held May 23, 1994, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with burial in the Cedar Creek cemetery. Elder Stanley Phillips officiated.
Mr. Carroll, age 53, of Quitman, died May 20, 1994, at H.C. Watkins Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Alisa Seeder, Ford, Kansas and two grandchildren.
Doris Jean Moffett Lafferty

Services for Doris Jean Moffett Lafferty were held May 21, 1994, at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Gene Emswiler, Rev. R. W. Moffett and Rev. Tony Burgett officiating.
Mrs. Lafferty, age 40, of Jackson, died May 19, 1994, at her residence. She was a receptionist for Cal-Maine Egg Products. She was a native of Meridian and had been a resident of Jackson since 1981. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church where she sang in the sanctuary choir; she was a 1971 graduate of Caledonia High School in Caledonia.
Survivors include her husband, Lewis J. Lafferty; a son, Nick Lafferty; her parents, Eugene and Doris Moffett, Meridian; a brother, R. W. Moffett, Walter Valley; her paternal grandparents, Robert and Alma Moffett, Meridian; maternal grandmother, Alma Maggard, Meridian.
Pallbearers include Harold Lafferty, Rick Jacoby, Ray Burgett, Jim Langley, Ron Matthews, Steve Baucum, Nick Tremonto and Harold Turner.
