The Morning News, 27 November 1944Funeral services for Frank W. Jefferis, 75, who died Saturday at his home, 216 South Union Street, will be at the William E. Haines Funeral Home, Twenty-fourth and Market Streets. Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock with the Rev. Roy L. Tawes, pastor of Silverbrook Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.A plumber, Mr. Jefferis had been employed for many years by Gawthrop Brothers. Surviving him are: His wife, Mrs. Lena Hume Jefferis; two daughters, Mrs. Marian Seaver of this city, and Mrs. Mildred McAleer of Washington, D. C., and a son, Frank Jefferis of Edge Moor Terrace, as well as a step-daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Maltman of Charleston, W. Va. Eight grandchildren also survive. He was a member of the plumber's union.
