The News Journal, 29 March 1958Howard C. Haislett, 68, husband of Mrs. Elsie M. Haislett, 1401 Lincoln Avenue, Silverside Heights, died this morning in The Memorial Hospital of a heart illness.Born in Wilmington, Mr. Haislett worked more than 35 years as a tinsmith for the Todd's Cut shops of the Pennsylvania Railroad.He was a member of Eden Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Aerie 74 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Eureka Lodge 23, A.F. & A.M.In addition to his wife, Mr. Haislett is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert H. Osborn, Green Acres; a brother and sister, Lester B. Osborn and Mrs. Anna Smith, Wilmington, and a grandson, David Osborn, 9.Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Yeatman Funeral Home, 819 Washington Street, where friends may call Monday evening. Interment will be in Wilmington and Brandywine Cemetery.
