Ben W. Byrd

Ben Wallace Byrd, 76, 1616 Eastwood Drive, Waynesboro, died August 20, 1995, at Wayne General Hospital.
   Services were held August 22, 1995, at Freeman Chapel with burial in Waynesboro Cemetery. Rev. Doug White and Hobson Toney officiated.
   He was a dry cleaners owner and operator, a member of H. S. Stansel Lodge 603, a member of the Eastern Star and the Chickasawhay Campers Club, a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a Baptist.
   He is survived by his wife, Berneice Byrd of Waynesboro; a daughter, Annette Woolums of Waynesboro; a brother, Dewey Byrd of McLain two sisters, Betty Freeman and Jenell Breland, both of McLain; two grandchildren, Jena Andreice Parks of Austin, Texas; and Jimmy Wallace Murray of Orlando, Florida; and two great-grandchildren, Basil Lyn Parks and Tiffany Andreice Parks.
   Freeman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Julian Tindle

Funeral services for Mr. Julian Tindle, 85, of the Lusk Community were held August 24, 1995, at Lusk Assembly of God Church. Internment was in the old Lusk Cemetery. Rev. Doug Stevens and Rev. E. C. Roney officiated.
   Mr. Tindle died August 22, 1995, at Lakeside Living Center in Quitman.
   Mr. Tindle is survived by his wife, Elma Mixon Tindle; son, Travis Tindle, Quitman; daughters, Eula T. Thompson, Toxey and Francis T. Graham, Quitman; sister, Pearline Herrington, Gilbertown, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   Pallbearers were Jimmy Tindle, Daniel Dearman, Alman Mosley, L. V. Mosley, Terry Sellers and Lee Mosley. Honorary pallbearers included Danny Ray Bonner, Darrell Copeland, Jeff Mosley and Steve Conner.
   Phillips Funeral Home of Gilbertown, Ala., was in charge of arrangements.
