Alfred Whitton Madara (1900-1986)

Alfred Whitton Madara was born on 27 July 1900 in New Jersey. He died in June 1986 in Woodstown, Salem, New Jersey. He is buried in Woodstown Friends Burial Ground in Woodstown, Salem, New Jersey. He married Mildred White on 14 Apr 1926 in Harrison, Gloucester, New Jersey.

Alfred "Buddy" W. Madara, 85, of Woodstown died Saturday at the Elmer Community Hospital.
   A former resident of the Malaga Camp, he was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Harrisonville, where he served on the official board and as superintendent of the Sunday school.
   Mr. Madara was the former president of Owen Supply Company in Woodstown for 25 years before retiring in 1965. A former leader of YMCA group of Harrisonville, he was also a former director of West Jersey Malaga Camp Meeting and a former president of the Malaga Camp Water Association.
   He is survived his wife, Mildred (White); two daughters, Emma Lou Henderson and Vera Pettit both of Woodstown; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the H.T. Layton and Son Home for Funerals, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown. Burial will be in the Woodstown Friends Cemetery.
   Friends will be received from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
