Lucy Wright Whitton was born on 16 January 1873 in New Jersey. She died on 30 May 1954 in New Jersey. She is buried in Saint John's United Methodist Church Cemetery in Harrisonville, Gloucester, New Jersey. She married Elmer E. Madara on 19 January 1897 in Flemington, Hunterdon, New Jersey. In the 1900 census she is listed as a servant to the Edwards family.

Harrisonville, May 31--Mrs. Lucy W. Madara, 81, of Harrisonville, died Sunday in the Friends Infirmary, Woodstown, where she was a resident for sevearl years. She had been an invalid for 13 years.
Surviving are her son, Alfred; a brother, Harry Whitton, of Newfield, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Geelan, of Lakeland, Fla.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Harrisonville Methodist Church. Friends may call at a funeral home on S. Main st., Woodstown, Tuesday night. Burial will be in Harrisonville Methodist Cemetery.
